We process personal data of users only to the extent necessary to provide a functional website as well as our content and services.
The processing takes place in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).

3. Hosting & Server Log Files

When you visit our website, the hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files.

This data includes:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Date and time of access
  • Pages accessed

The processing takes place to ensure the trouble-free operation of the website and to improve its stability and security.

5. Plugins and Tools Used

Our website is based on WordPress and uses various extensions. Below we provide information about the relevant plugins and their data protection assessment.

5.1 Avada Theme & Avada Builder

We use the WordPress theme Avada including Avada Builder for the design and presentation of the website.
No personal data is transmitted to the manufacturer ThemeFusion.

5.2 WPML – Multilingualism

We use WPML Multilingual CMS, WPML String Translation and WPML SEO to provide multilingual content.
WPML sets a functional cookie to store the language selected by the user.
No data is transferred to the plugin manufacturer.

5.3 Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)

ACF is used for the structured management of content in the backend.
No personal visitor data is processed.

5.4 UpdraftPlus – Backups

UpdraftPlus is used for regular backups of the website.
Backups are used exclusively for recovery in the event of a fault and are not used to evaluate visitor data.

5.5 Akismet Anti-Spam

Akismet is used to detect spam.
The following data can be transferred to the provider’s servers:
IP address, browser information, form content.
The processing takes place on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a or f GDPR.
If no forms or comments are used, no data is transferred.

5.6 SVG Support

This plugin enables the uploading and display of SVG files.
No personal data is processed.

5.7 Big File Uploads

Extends the maximum upload size in the WordPress backend.
No personal visitor data is processed.

5.8 Yoast SEO & Yoast Duplicate Post

Yoast SEO supports the search engine optimization of the website.
Yoast Duplicate Post is used exclusively for internal content management.
No personal visitor data is processed.

5.9 Embedding of Videos (Wistia)

Our website embeds videos provided by the service Wistia.
The provider is Wistia, Inc., 17 Tudor Street, Cambridge, MA 02139, USA.

When accessing a page with an embedded Wistia video, a connection is established to Wistia’s servers.
In particular, the following personal data may be processed:

  • IP address
  • Date and time of access
  • Browser and device information
  • Referrer URL
  • Usage data (e.g. playback behavior, interactions)
  • Cookies or comparable technologies, if applicable

Data processing may also take place in the United States. The USA does not provide a level of data protection comparable to that of the EU.
Wistia uses Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission to ensure an adequate level of data protection.

The IP address is processed anonymously.

The processing takes place exclusively after your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.
Consent is obtained via the Borlabs Cookie consent tool and can be revoked at any time.

When you contact us by email, we process your details exclusively to process your request.
The data will not be passed on without your consent.
